KAGMAN High School, Saipan International School, and Marianas High School have joined Saipan Southern High School in a four-way tie for first place in the boys high school division of the PSS-NMIFA Interscholastic Soccer League SY24-25.

KHS, SIS and MHS collected their third win of the season during last week’s matches at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

KHS outscored Mount Carmel School, 13-3.

The game started slowly, with the first 15 minutes filled with an endless battle for possession.

But KHS eventually took over the field with overwhelming pressure on both ends while creating several scoring opportunities. By the 18th minute, KHS scored its first goal thanks to Justin Camacho. This was followed by two more goals by teammates Melvin Tudela and Nolan Ngewakl at the 27th and 30th minute marks, respectively, to establish a 3-0 lead.

Before going into halftime, MCS’ Earl Lacandazo broke the silence with a quick shot that found the back of the net to reduce the deficit, 1-3.

In the second half, however, KHS resumed their dominance with a flurry of goals led by Ngewakl and Tudela completing a hat-trick with three goals each.

MCS could not escape defeat, but they went down fighting, slipping in two goals in the midst of KHS’ onslaught before bowing down, 3-13.
