Working across the aisles

MY Dear CNMI voters:

I salute the humility and intelligence of our candidates vying for the U.S. congressional seat. The truth of the CNMI’s voice in the nation’s capital is that when our vote doesn’t matter, it counts; when it matters, it doesn’t count.

The working environment inside the beltway of Washington, D.S. requires an individual with tenacity, determination and diplomacy. One must have a thorough understanding of the complexities involved of how the federal system works. A must requisite before you even go there.

I strongly believe that U.S. delegate candidate Kimberlyn King-Hinds possesses these qualities, and more. Kimberlyn brings to the table her established networking connectivity and understanding of our local needs. She has chaired and led regional and international organizations from the West Coast to Taiwan. She has extensive legal experience as a private attorney.

Given her more than decade-long of interacting with her counterparts during her tenure with our Commonwealth Ports Authority, Kimberlyn has established a positive working relationship with the various staffers and management-officials in the upper echelons of the federal government. To name a few, the USDOT-Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Department of Defense, the Office of Insular Affairs, and the Department of Health and Human Services. These include good relationship with many entrepreneurs and private businesses.

The need to work “across the aisles” is just as essential. I am confident in Ms. Kimberlyn King-Hind’s capabilities to work with colleagues from the Insular Areas, the established caucus staffers and civil management folks of lined agencies who work with the relevant ranking congressional committee members. With courage and respect, these are absolute attributes Kimberlyn does effectively well.

I attest to these. I have worked alongside Kimberly on various CNMI confronting issues. I respectfully seek your support and encouragement to vote number 3 on the ballot for Ms. Kimberlyn King-Hinds as U.S. congressional delegate. Your vote undoubtedly matters. TIROW.
