During a State Celebrity Read-A-Loud school activity on Tuesday morning, Principal Raena Bermudes Camacho of Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School introduced Commissioner of Education Dr. Lawrence F. Camacho to teacher Jace Pineda’s first-grade homeroom class. Camacho read the book “Kada Dia” or “Every Day,” written by Rose Sharon Taimanao Jones, a Chamorro-Carolinian and Heritage Studies educator from Chacha Oceanview Middle School, and her mother, Carmen Songsong Taimanao. The read-a-loud event is a part of the Chamorro-Carolinian Cultural Heritage Month celebration of the Public School System this month.
