Search is on for ‘Gandang Pinay’ 2025

THE Bayani Association, a non-profit organization, is once again, hosting the search for the “Gandang Pinay” or Filipina Beauty pageant on March 1, 2025, at Saipan World Resort.

This pageant is open for young women of Filipino descent aged 16 to 19. Bayani Association President Yolanda De Ramos said they currently have seven official candidates registered, and are looking for more.

Participants will compete in four categories: Filipiniana costume, talent, evening gown, and the question & answer portion.

The event will feature exciting production numbers directed by event director and choreographer Ernie Molina. Many line-up activities like the booth camp training will allow the candidates to learn about make-up tutorials, personality development, public speaking, fashion and styling. They will also be involved in events such as those pertaining to environmental awareness and the love of Mother Earth: beach cleanups and tree planting.

Molina said the pageant aims to help improve the candidates’ personality and self-confidence.

Winners will receive cash prizes, crowns, sash, bouquets, gift certificates, and certificates of participation from the Bayani Association. This is a fundraising event, and the proceeds will support the organization’s future community projects. The beneficiaries will be announced soon since negotiations are still ongoing.

Bayani Association is also seeking generous sponsors to be part of this significant event. All sponsors will be featured in ads on Facebook, local radio stations, local newspapers, flyers, and numerous press opportunities. Moreover, with the sponsor’s support, Bayani Association can continue implementing  projects beneficial to the community

The deadline for the submission of entries is on Sept. 30, 2024.
