(SCC) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce its 3rd Quarter Professional Development Training, focused on “Equal Employment Opportunities” Save the date for this training session on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 running from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Marianas Business Plaza, 6th Floor, Suite 604.
Facilitated by Jim Arenovski from Island Training Solutions, this training is designed to promote awareness, The comprehensive agenda covers key aspects such as:
• The focus of this professional development training revolves around fostering a workplace culture of civility and equity.
• Participants will explore the profound impact of past experiences on current beliefs and actions, recognizing and addressing both conscious and unconscious biases, and identifying and mitigating blind spots and stereotypes.
• They will also learn the art of effective management, including strategies for preventing incivility, promoting ethical behavior, and ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1967.
• The training emphasizes a no-tolerance policy to create a workplace where discrimination and harassment are not tolerated, reinforcing the idea that organizations teach what they allow.
SCC presents its 3rd Quarter Professional Development Training to help enhance individuals’ understanding of civility and equity in a workplace. Participants will engage in sessions aimed at understanding how past experiences shape current beliefs and behaviors, while also addressing both conscious and unconscious biases.
