On July 2, 2024 in Okinawa, Japan, the CNMI’s Jefferson Alfred Astillero Saures was promoted from U.S. Marine Corps gunnery sergeant to USMC master sergeant. Saures, his wife and three children are on Saipan for the Liberation Day and Fourth of July celebration.
