Old B Bank pummels Shirley’s in MSL 2 opener

OLD B Bank emerged victorious in their debut match of the 2024 Marianas Soccer League 2 by silencing Shirley’s Football Club at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024.

Old B Bank started slow but managed to slip in a few goals in the first half of the game.

Their first goal came following a two-minute scuffle for control as Lin Xiao Feng found the back of the net to hand Old B Bank the early lead, 1-0.

Old B Bank then slipped in two more goals at the 15th and 40th minute marks courtesy of Aliilua Peteru and Feng to stretch the deficit, 3-0.

SFC could not get out of the gutter in the second half while Old B Bank’s continued its assault and added eight more goals for the easy win. Due to the “skunk” rule, the official final score is 5-0.

Hana vs MP United

Joining the winner’s circle was Hana Football Club, which bested MP United Football Club, 3-1.

All three of HFC’s goals came  during the first half.

Scott Kim drew first blood at the 15th minute mark while the second and third goals were delivered by Saeronara Kim at the 18th and Sang Hyun Chun at the 38th for a 3-0 lead.

MPU attempted a second half rally, but could score only one goal, thanks to James Salalila at the 42nd mark, before accepting defeat, 1-3.
