Their contracts expired on June 7.
Saipan Mayor Juan B. Tudela yesterday said three other contractual employees have left Saipan.
“They left the island for good,” he added.
Tudela, however, said the renewal of the 29 workers after Sept. 30 is not “guaranteed.”
There are 67 employees of the governor’s office whose contracts are also renewed depending on the availability of funds.
The administration, so far, has been able to identify the funding sources to pay for the salaries of these workers, the mayor said.
