According to Bridgette Adachi, the camp will begin on July 20 and end on July 27. Adachi said that the society has successfully conducted previous camps before; and based on requests from parents and students as well, ESI will conduct another camp this year. Adachi added that ESI aims to make of Ngarchelong’s youth be more aware of their natural environment and its management. Moreover, students will learn new skills – fishing, weaving, singing, and many more – and will have opportunities to learn traditional skills and practice them.Adachi said that all youth who join the camp must be of Ngarchelong decent. Interested youth or parents may register their children beginning on July 1 and prior to July 12. A registration fee of $15.00 will be collected at registration.
