Barja, Hernandez, Echaves top PBA-Budweiser Classified

Barja who totaled 1,146 with an average of 191 was however just eight points away from Paul Pangelinan who settled for second place as he  scored during June 8 game, 1,138 points and averaged 189.67.

Barja topped in the first game of June 8 but last his score last Sunday was way ahead of his   previous score—1,125 with an average of 187.50.

Simon Manacop got the highest score in the first game but he placed third as he scored only a total of 1,121 for the six games with an average of 186.83.

Richard Leong was just four points behind placing third with a total of 1,117 and an average of 186.17.

Fifth placer was Robert Talavera who scored highest in game six. He grossed 1,112 with an average of 185.33.

In Class B, No.1 qualifier Allan Hernandez was able to defend his rank from No. 4 qualifier Raphael Zapanta who managed to make his way up during the “step-ladder” games and faced him in the final game.

Zapanta defeated No. 3 and No. 5 qualifiers, Ferdee Generoso and Yho Villavicencio, scoring 181 points in the elimination round. He beat No. 2 qualifier, Eric Rabang.

Hernandez scored a total of 1,084 with an average of 180.67; Rabang who got the highest score in Game 6, totaled 1,071.

Generoso scored a six-game total of 1,067; Raphael Zapanta, 1,044 and Yho Villavicencio, 1,031.

In Class C, Ed Echaves topped the list as he scored a total of 1,015 during the June 8 games.

Tailing him are Carol McKenzie who scored 997; Rene Cariaso, 996, Diana Chong, 995 and Mel Regis 970.
