“Quite a few butterflies can be seen while driving up to Suicide Cliff,” she said.
This month, the Rotary Club adopted Suicide Cliff for its beautification program in collaboration with the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisers.
Dancoe said the club will plant different flowers in the area to signify the colors of friendship and peace.
“One of the largest objectives that I would like to see happen in that area is to ‘invite’ butterflies,” she said.
“I think that for Rotarians, [a butterfly park] would be a beautiful reflection of who we are as a community and people, offering something to our residents and visitors to enjoy.”
“Suicide Cliff” is not a very pleasant name, she said, but Rotarians can turn the area into a butterfly park.
Residents can also help beautify the site, she added.
