TJ Ferrer tops round 5; Celis leads Mini II class

TJ Ferrer seized the spotlight in round five of the 2023 Monster Energy Marianas Racing Association Points Race series  by ruling the Mini II Class on Sunday at Cowtown Raceway Park in Marpi.

It was another head-to-head battle between Ferrer and Nanako Celis.

In heat 1, Celis grasped the early lead and maintained her speed throughout the dusty race course to finish first and collect 25 points while Ferrer came in second to earn 22 points.

In the second heat, Ferrer hit the pedal to the metal to finish first.

Ferrer and Celis both garnered a total of 47 points, but because Ferrer ruled heat 2 he was named the round five winner with Celis in second place.

Celis, however, remains on top of the Mini II Class leaderboard with a total of 175 after five rounds.

Ferrer is second overall with 171 points while Billie Pangelinan is in third with 168 points. In fourth and fifth places are Calix Cruz with 122 points and Carter Castro with 102 points.

Mini I, ATV

In Mini I Class, Elleayah Cruz is the overall leader with 150 points  followed by Kaleb Reyes with 44 points.

The Mini ATV Class is led by Anella Igitol with a total of 144 points followed by Kimason Cabrera with 90; Franchesca Yumul, 67; Kassidy Camacho, 50; and Keoni Rosario with 44.

Bentley Koshiro is the solo leader in the Peewee I Class with a total of 100 points while Nakoa Torres leads the Peewee ATV Class with a total of 188 points followed by Rockson Cabrera with 100.

Mamas

Maribel Igitol is the current overall leader in the Mama Class after recording her fourth 50-point finish for a total of 200 points. Merissa Rasa is second with 128 points, Marlyn Castro in third with 120, and Mariana Alvarez in fourth with 44.

Vicente Palacios, for his part, is the top rider in the Novice Class  with 200 points followed by Christian Camacho, 172; Frankie Sablan, 133; Matthew Guerrero, 118; Ponce Rasa, 114; and Charles Cepeda, 85.
