Acting zoning administrator Yubert Alepuyo said one applicant for the zoning administrator’s position is eligible, but the three applicants for the zoning planner’s are not because they do not have the required four-year experience and a bachelor’s degree.
The zoning board headed by chair Mariano Taitano has asked the zoning staff to post again the job vacancy announcement for the zoning planner’s position.
The zoning administrator’s position was previously held by Therese Ogumoro while the zoning planner’s was held by Marciana Igitol. Both resigned in December.
“They’re allowed to leave anytime they wish if they’re not happy — I welcome them to look elsewhere for better opportunities,” Taitano said.
Ogumoro, however, has agreed to be a consultant for two months to ensure a smooth transition at the zoning administrator’s office.
