KHS JROTC Color Guard takes part in tribute at AMP

(KHS) — On Oct. 27, 2023, a heartfelt commemoration of the local civilians who lost their lives during World War II, in the Battle of Saipan, was held at American Memorial Park. The annual wreath-laying ceremony also saw a touching tribute presented by the Kagman High School Color Guard, who performed the presenting and retiring the colors with precision.

The KHS Color Guard’s execution of their duties, coupled with their ushering assistance for VIP’s, added an extra layer of honor and solemnity to the event.

The event brought together important figures such as Gov. Arnold I. Palacios, Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang, the Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council, other officials, the Christian Mothers, and local community members.

The Kagman High JROTC’s professional display of honor and respect made the event a major success.

This annual event was held in cooperation with American Memorial Park, which is dedicated to honoring those who perished on Saipan during World War II.
