Joint Region Marianas celebrates alongside the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands this Liberation Day. We pay tribute to those who fought to defend democracy and protect the freedoms that we enjoy today.
During the month of July we are called upon to reflect on the hard-earned liberties of this great region, the resilience and power of the people of the Pacific, and the wonderful relationships we have cultivated together over the decades.
The resilient people of this community who are from all cultural backgrounds have had a hand in the liberation, growth, and stability of this region. The Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Marines serving honorably in our Pacific homeland are grateful to celebrate alongside each of you. Our opportunities and the boundless possibilities of our way of life are secured because of the bravery, commitment, and patriotism of the men and women in this region, and the service of those who wear or have worn the uniform of the United States of America.
May our Pacific homelands be safeguarded, and let us continue to forge a stronger community and region together as we enjoy a free and open Indo-Pacific for generations to come. Happy Liberation Day!
