HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A woman faces criminal charges after she was accused of stabbing a man in the hip after an argument at a Tamuning apartment.
Arika Ann Deleon Guerrero Sanchez, 32, was charged in the Superior Court of Guam with aggravated assault as a third-degree felony and family violence as a misdemeanor.
On Wednesday, officers with the Guam Police Department responded to a Tamuning apartment where they spoke with a woman who reported she saw Sanchez and a man arguing.
Police noted in the complaint Sanchez and the man knew each other.
According to the complaint, the woman saw the pair grabbing each other before Sanchez allegedly swung her right hand toward the left side of the man’s hip.
The man told police Sanchez stabbed him with a knife she took out of her bra which was later found by officers when Sanchez was arrested. The blade was about 2.5 inches long and was in her bra when she was arrested, according to the complaint.
“The Defendant told officers that the victim had tackled her and she felt a pain near her neck before she removed the knife from her bra, opened it, and stabbed the victim,” the complaint stated.
Sanchez was found to have redness and an abrasion on her right forearm.
