(SHS) — Over the past six months, Saipan Humane Society has administered over 1,000 vaccines, distributed over 1,000 doses of flea and tick medication, and conducted 500+ sick consultations and wound care visits. The organization has also provided close to 400 spay/neuter surgeries this year and hopes to expand this number significantly in 2024-2025 through partnerships with large organizations, grant funding, and private donations.

Responding to the needs of working individuals who find it challenging to attend weekday clinics, Saipan Humane Society hosted its first-ever Saturday clinic on November 4th. The event, held at Mayor’s Dog Shelter, garnered an overwhelming response, with 41 patients receiving comprehensive care, including vaccinations, flea and tick medication, and sick consultations. This is something the organization hopes to do more regularly.

In our continuous effort to expand our reach, Saipan Humane Society will be hosting their first-ever pop-up clinic in Song Song Village, Rota. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a range of animal health services. This outreach initiative aims to bring assistance to pets and their owners on Rota, where there is a significant lack of access to animal health services. This outreach event is made possible by Veterinarians Without Borders.
Saipan Humane Society remains committed to its mission of promoting responsible pet ownership, providing compassionate care, and advocating for the well-being of all animals. We invite everyone to join us in our efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of our furry friends.
