Joeten defeated the Federals, 81-58.
Joeten quickly established dominance in the opening quarter with a full-court defensive pressure. The Federals managed to break through a couple of times with Jeffery Che at the frontline sinking four points while the rest of his team chipped in a few buckets. However, there were more misses than makes.
For their part, Joeten’s Ervin Villarin scored eight points while Alex Lauron and Rafael Ordona added support from around the perimeter with four points each to seize a comfortable 29-12 lead.
The Federals picked up the pace in the second canto as they took advantage of Joeten’s aggressive defense by drawing fouls.
However, Joeten continued to deliver with Chris Lilles and Franko Bondoc joining the fray to maintain the safe distance, 50-24.
The Federals’ biggest run came during the third quarter with Leo Apelo delivering 13 points. But Villarin scored 10 more points while teammates John Paul Cruz and Prince Vino finished strong in the final quarter to secure the win for Joeten, 81-58.
