A GROUP of children and teenagers took center stage on Saturday during the third anniversary celebration of M2 Fitness at Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall.

Led by coach Julie Harrison, the M2 Zumba Kids and Juniors dazzled the audience with their dance moves,

They were introduced by M2 Fitness President Mary Grace Bautista who said that “every child is gifted.”

“They have a strong mind that reminds us that life is beautiful,” she said. “If we want our children to move mountains, we first must let them get out of their chairs. They must dance with their hearts. Their childhood is the best example of humanity. They don’t dance to be better than anyone else. They innocently express themselves. Some may not be able to dance as well as others, but they shake and move to the beat like no one is ever watching,” Bautista said.

She said M2 Fitness aims to “inspire them to use [their] success in a way that influences positive change in the world.”

In celebration of their third anniversary, she said M2 Fitness highlighted the “future and next generation” to show the world that “they have opened their hearts to dance with joy and love.”

“We are dancers, and we create dreams,” Bautista added.

M2 Fitness also featured the testimony of new member, speech-language pathologist Ignacio Dela Cruz, who attends M2 Fitness’ Aqua Zumba at Aqua Resort Club.

Dela Cruz said he was glad to learn about the Zumba class, adding that it helps him deal with the struggles and stress of work.

Also performing on Saturday were M2’s Team Zumbalizious, Team Dancing Venom and M2 Fitness coaches.

For their part, Bautista and M2 Fitness Vice President Zin Mita Pelicano performed a band music number.

“As we always do, the M2 family gathered to celebrate and showcase their talents and not to compete,” Bautista said. “We aim for one goal and that is to be stronger and to inspire unity  as we are all moving toward the same objectives through coordinated and focused efforts. For without unity, there is no peace, only chaos and bitterness, which slows progress,” she added.

She said M2 Fitness owes its success to the local community’s strong support.

“These three years were all because of you and your unstoppable trust and support for what we can do for your lives and health and to be a part of your fitness journey,” she said. “We would like to say thank you to everyone for allocating time out of your busy schedule to attend this celebration. From M2 Fitness, thank you, and to those who helped and donated their time in rehearsals and decorations to make this event possible, thank you very much,” Bautista added.

She also expressed gratitude to the following major sponsors: Hafadai Rent-A-Car, Aqua Resort Club and Drive Forward LLC; secondary sponsors Vision Insurance, Christine Reyes, Emily Cabrera, D’ Elegance Café, Judy Mendieta, Simon Odoca and Bourbon St. Bar & Cafe; in-kind and service sponsors Multi Supply and Services, Gold’s Gym, Saipan World Resort, Morae, McDonald’s Restaurant Saipan, Surf Club, Great Harvest, Hardt Eye Clinic, Perfect Images, Suzi Perez, Hybrid, Herman’s Bakery, D&Q, TransAmerica, Ideal Signs, Marpac, The Water Company, Connie Quidato, Leticia Ching and Down Town Market.
