Doing such, the dynamic twins put their performances one notch higher and most appreciated as they now establish themselves to be the CNMI’s sprint queens.
Although they didn’t get any medals in the Oceana tournaments both the Bennett sisters improved on their times in the events they competed.
Yvonne now owns the record 100, 200, and 400 meter sprints for the CNMI. She has reset the CNMI record in 100 meter three times. She also broke her own record in 200 and 400 meters.
She broke the 13 second barrier in the 100 meters finishing the run in 12.99 seconds in the Oceania Championship.
Yvonne was among those included in the top 10 of the Grand Prix Series with garnering 945 points for the 100 meters and 200 meters.
Yvette who always comes next to Yvonne in CNMI athletic events made a big improvement in the shadows of her sister and now considered to be the island’s second fastest sprinter in 100 and 200 meters.
She improved her best times in the 100 meters that surpasses the old CNMI 100 meter record with less than a second separating her from Yvonne.
