Sport shoes donated to kids

Vice President of Seeds of Promise Summer Sports Camp Veronica Fox said that the kids who participated in the camp ate going to receive a pair of quality name brand sports shoes.“This had been an answered prayer. We have wanted to get shoes for the kids for sometime now and to receive news that our request had been granted by the Vice President and his office is truly a blessing.” Fox said.Lorraine Rivera, President of SOPP and coach stated, “It is important for the kids to receive these shoes because it shows our youth that people in their community care about them. Plus it lets them continue their sports drills with proper footwear reducing their risk of injury.”The organization will also host a movie night Thursday on July 31 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Belau National Museum.The shoes will be distributed during the movie night and will also be an opportunity to announce the group’s plan to keep in touch with the campers throughout the school year.Fox added that the Seeds of Promise Palau will be posting their August schedule this week on local bulletin boards.
