GOVERNOR Arnold I. Palacios has reappointed Catherine Marie Attao to serve another four-year term representing Saipan and women on the Northern Marianas Technical Institute board of trustees.
Her reappointment requires Senate approval.
In his letter to Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero, the governor said because the terms of the NMTech trustees are staggered, Attao’s new term, if she’s confirmed by the Senate, will expire on March 11, 2027.
Palacios said he and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang are confident that Attao will help the board carry out NMTech’s mandates.
She will continue to devote her time and efforts on this important board, Palacios added.
Attao has been an NMTech board member since February 2020.
The governor also nominated Patricia Joy San Nicolas to the CNMI Scholarship Board. Her nomination requires Senate consent.
In a letter, Palacios said he and Apatang are confident that she is qualified and will be an asset to the scholarship board.
