Jeanolivia Dean Grant, an ob-gyne physician, will get $65 per hour.
The hospital psychiatrist, Dr. Timothy Taylor, will get $130,000 a year.
Dr. Hazel Christine Brown, a physician in emergency room, will receive $80 per hour.
The governor’s approval was based on the recommendation of Public Health Secretary Kevin Villagomez who requested exemptions for doctors working in “the most critical areas” of the hospital.
The governor acknowledged that these positions are vital in the delivery of services to the people.
“Continuing appropriations are available for the full personnel cost associated with these vacancies,” Fitial said in his letter to the Legislature.
