Man pleaded guilty to DUI gets five days jail term

Senior Judge Honora E. Remengesau Rudimch sentenced Kenneth Ngirngemeusech to six months of imprisonment but all suspended except for five days to be served on September 19, at 6 p.m. to September 21 at 6 p.m.; Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. to Sept. 28 at 6 p.m.; October 3 at 6 p.m. to October 4 at 6 p.m.

Ngirngemeusech was placed on supervised probation and was ordered to pay $500 fine not later than October 20.The defendant will also undergo an initial screening and view the video on alcohol at the Bedochel Center within the next two weeks and follow the Center’s recommendations.He will also participate in three hours of community service doing public education specifically dealing with the dangers of drunk driving.He was ordered to obey all laws and orders of the court. Violation of the conditions of his probation may result in the revocation and imposition of the defendant’s suspended sentence.The defendant appeared for a plea hearing on September 19 where he entered a guilty plea to one count of DUI as charged in count one of the information.In exchange of his guilty plea, the government agreed to dismiss the remaining charges, the reckless driving.The affidavit of probable cause submitted by the Bureau of Public Safety to the Supreme Court stated that defendant on May 2, 2008, was driving a vehicle when it run off the road in front of Harry Fritz residence.The affidavit stated that defendant admitted of drinking Vodka and drove the car later which got into accident.
