Sharks attacks WCTC, wins 92 – 68

With a score of 20 pts, Javis took care of the perimeter jumpers as his counterpart Benny who scored 14, helped the team on the breaks.  The Sharks did not look back as they lead the entire game on all aspects and statistics. Although down by as many as points on the game, WCTC players Oliver and Pollandy scored 20 and 13, respectively, as the rest of the team tried their best in pulling a comeback from a tough team like Shark-Attack. It was too much of skills, great teamwork, and aggressive plays on both sides of the court for Shark-Attack that gave them a very commanding lead.  This led to WCTC gesturing a sign of defeat as they heartily accepted. In an earlier game for Division II, Neco Group extended their winning streak to 2 as they got a win against Fish n Fins, with a score of 76 – 64.  Scores for The Group was evenly distributed for the players but it was Charlie who got high honors, scoring 11pts. As for Fish n Fins, Ceasar contributed 22 in a losing manner for the 1st game of the night.  Fifty-two points of the 92 was scored between Juvic and Arnel as they joined hands with their team mates to beat Rudimch Enterprise on the second match of the day, with a score of 92 – 85.  Traxx and Om scored 33 and 29, respectively for the losing team. 

Being the last game and only game for the day for Division I, it looked as if the league really saved the best things for last, as the match between President’s Men and MOF went wire to wire.  It all ended with MOF getting the best out of President’s Men with a slim margin of just 1 basket, 93 to 91. Weston went unstoppable in all areas of the court and from his favorite spot, the three point line, as he finished the game with 37pts. Helping him is his swingman Edson with a 15point contribution.  As for the President’s Men, Brooks and Burton scored evenly with 28pts a piece to keep the game as close as possible.  It was a see-saw battle that ended a win for MOF.Playoffs will start for both Divisions as soon as the results of the meeting, as of press time, with regards to standings for each team, possible scenarios of the playoff brackets, and other matters has come out.
