WCTC stops Surangel, 130 – 122

With the start of the game going into high speed, exchanging of shots from both ends of the court, and showcasing basketball athleticism among players of both teams, the battle between two supermarket giants, WCTC and Surangel, went to produce a very high-scoring game.  In spite of scoring 56 for Surangel from JV San Juan, their team just could not get that go ahead lead to finish the game. WCTC took the opportunity as players with the likes of Oliver who gained 21points and others contributing evenly on the score sheet that led to a victory.

In an earlier game that night, PPR, being one of the favorites going to their division finals, redeemed themselves again, by beating a very young talented team,  Rudimch Enterprise, 73 – 62. Javis gained 18points for the winner PPR and TRAXX of the Enterprise kept a tally of 23 on the loosing side.  With regards to the first game, MOE 2 won against KSG, 78 – 69 to earn the fourth and final spot for the Government division.  MOE 2 will be going against MOJ on Friday, October 24 for the quarter finals. Whoever wins the game will meet MOF for the Division Championships whom by the way won their match from President’s Men, 93 – 89, Tuesday night.  Weston of Finance Team starred the game anew as he scored 26 points launching his deadly three points from different spots on the court.  While Vann tried to get his team back on the game, producing 33 points, it was just not enough to accomplish the task.On Monday night’s game, it was Rainbow Runners crushing PPR Stingray with a big margin, 93-56.  Point guard Merei Ise showed his quickness on the court by scoring 23 points for the Rainbow giving them a place for the second round.  Doing the honors for Sam Sharks was Anloyd putting 33points on the board as they beat Neco Plaza Nuggets on the second game of the night, 93 – 69.  Third game was between Mason Hardware and PDC Groupers.  Melusch scored 27points for the Groupers as they too will be part of the second round of the playoffs for the business division by winning against Masons Hardware.  Arnold of Masons gave his best with 32 points but have to bow down from PDC.Games will continue as business division will go through their second round to determine the final four and eventually reached the finals.
