Rotary caging league to set 5 make-up games

Rotary caging league has been affected by the previous power outages on island, and by the FIBA-Oceania Youth Basketball Tournament wherein some players of the Rotary basketball league have been sent to represent CNMI.

Moreover, the recent championship match between Pacific Telecommunications Inc. and Autonomous of the Inter-government/Business Basketball League has also affected the Rotary caging league game schedules.

Some of the Rotary teams that have been affected by these turn of events include Rollers I, G-Stars, Kontenders, and Junior Nationals whose four or five players have been off island to compete in the youth basketball tourney in Guam.

Junior Nationals was supposed to have a match with Rollers II yesterday at 5:30 p.m. at Ada Gym.

“We’re revising the schedule for the Rotary games,” Rangamar said.

They will be releasing the schedule for the make-up games soon as they are expecting to continue on with the matches next week, he added.

The make-up games will run until the following week, after which the playoffs will begin, he said, pointing out the playoffs will take no longer than one week as the league will implement a single elimination rule.

As of today, Junior Nationals are on top of the team standings chart with 5-0 win-lose card.

Rollers II is at the bottom of the list with 1-8 win-lose ticket.

The other member-teams of the Rotary caging league include Sixers, Sonics, Saints, and Suns.
