IN celebration of its 31st anniversary and as part of its Feed the Hungry project, the Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club distributed noodles, butane and canned goods to 76 families of San Antonio Parish.
“We are grateful for the donation from The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Saipan-Guam District, TFOE 1979, through their District Governor Ivan Sales,” Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club President Socorro Huliganga said.
“Thank you also to Fr. Arman Hagos for allowing us to proceed with our project on Jan. 29, 2023; Service Chair Michelle Taisacan for initiating the project; to our Assistant Secretary Leonila Mendoza for organizing and coordinating with vendors; Region Chair Eden Mercado; Zone Chair Mar Masilungan; and to all members and officers,” Huliganga added.
There are 10 Lions Clubs now in the CNMI. Each is autonomous but they can work as one as a region. The Lions focus on five global causes: diabetes, hunger, vision, environment, and childhood cancer.
