The Project HOPE (Healthy Oceans & People Empowerment) Spring 2023 free ocean science club is for students in grades 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th.
THE Project HOPE (Healthy Oceans & People Empowerment) Spring 2023 free ocean science club is open for registration until March 2, 2023, for all students in grades 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. Project HOPE is funded by a grant from the Administration of Native Americans and made available through a partnership with PSS.
Eligible students who join Project HOPE will be engaged in activities with a team consisting of NMC natural sciences students, the CNMI’s finest outreach specialists, and esteemed ocean elders in fascinating ocean science topics such as coral reefs, bays, estuaries, upwelling zones, and sakmans.
Project HOPE sessions will be held once a week on Mondays at the Guma Sakman from 12:30 noon to 5:30 p.m. Additionally, swimming lessons will be provided by the Dolphin Swim Club. 500 Sails will provide traditional sailing skills and marine related science.
