SAIPAN International School and Agape Christian School lead their respective brackets in the NMBF-PSS Co-ed Middle School Badminton League.
Saipan International School showcased a flawless performance as they defeated every single team in bracket 2 for a total of 75 points on Saturday at the TSL Sports Complex.
SIS’ Nara Kim, Lina Tsukagoshi, Frank Li, Allen He, Michael Zhou, Jason Yu worked as a team and as individuals as they defeated Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Jr.-Sr. High School, Saipan Community School, Tanapag Middle School, Mount Carmel School and Hopwood Middle School 2, in the boys and girls singles, doubles and mixed events.
In second place in bracket 2 is TMS with 39 points. HMS 2 is third with 49, SCS is fifth with 32, and Dr. Rita and MCS share sixth and seventh places with zero points.
In bracket 1, Agape Christian School claimed the top spot with 52 points.
ACS dispatched Chacha Oceanview Middle School and Tinian while losing two sets only against HMS 1. Their biggest challenge was Francisco M. Sablan Middle School which beat ACS in the girls singles and girls doubles event, but Agape still came out on top by winning the boys singles and doubles as well as mixed doubles.
In bracket 1, FMS is in second place with 48 points followed by Tinian with 39, HMS 1 with 26, Chacha with 8, and Dandan Middle School with 7.
