9th Cycle Corrections Academy graduation set for Oct. 6

THE 9th Cycle Corrections Academy graduation will be held on Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Pacific Islands Club, Corrections Commissioner Wally Villagomez said.

The academy, which was officially launched on May 31, 2022, initially had a total of 39 cadets. So far, only one had dropped out.

The last time Corrections had an academy was in 2019.

Through the department’s partnership with Northern Marianas College, the cadets will earn 40 college credits from NMC as part of their training, and will have an opportunity to earn additional credits toward a college degree if they so wish.
