FRANK Sablan shot a net score of 144 to clinch the Amigos Golf Club’s September Ace of the Month title on Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
During the qualifying round on Sept. 4, Sablan scored a gross of 76. With a 10 handicap, his net score was 66.
In the ace round on Sept. 25, Sablan struggled a bit and ended the day with a gross of 88 and a net score of 78 thanks to his 10 handicap. His total net score of 144 was the best in the tournament.
In second place was Jay Muna who shot a gross of 80 in the qualifying round. With a handicap of 7, his net score was 73. In the ace round he shot a gross of 82 which gave him a net score of 75 for a net total of 148.
In the side event for Par 3 winners, Joe Sablan Jr. led the list on hole #4; Tony Satur triumphed on hole #6; Jay Muna reigned on hole #11; and Ed Manglona was supreme on hole #15. Each won $150.
