PACIFIC Best Choice and JSN Construction are off to a strong start in their respective divisions of the Legends Sports Association Invitational Basketball League after earning separate wins Sunday at the Koblerville gym.
In the open division, Pacific Best Choice bested Vizion Insurance, 81-78.
Pacific Best Choice’s teamwork allowed Natividad, Bobanes and Chua to deliver the buckets while Vizion Insurance relied mainly on their main scorer, Pastrana, as his ability to finish at the rim allowed his team to stay within reach and, at times, take the lead.
Rueda of Vizion Insurance later stepped up and knocked down crucial buckets, but his and Pastrana’s efforts were not enough.
For their part, Pacific Best Choice’s ball movement and defensive stops kept them afloat as the rest of the team chipped in to support Natividad, Chua and Bobanes who remained at the frontline.
Vizion Insurance was forced to foul to stop the clock, but this allowed Pacific Best Choice to secure the win at the charity stripe, 81-78.
Pacific Best Choice’s Natividad led his team’s scoreboard with 24 points while Vizion Insurance’s Pastrana was his team’s top scorer with 33 points.
Masters division
In the masters division, JSN Construction trounced Legends Elite, 96-70.
JSN showcased a balanced production with Tabora leading the team to victory with 26 points while four of his team mates also contributed double-digit points.
