TAMUNING, Guam — Docomo Pacific, the regional leader in innovation, telecommunications and entertainment, sponsors Påtgon, Guam’s first kids-only Jiu-Jitsu tournament taking place on Saturday, October 22, at the UOG Calvo Field House.
Pacific Grappling Events proudly hosts Guam’s first kids only Gi and no Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. The event will feature kids between the ages of 4 and 17. Divisions are determined by belt ranks (white – blue) and weight. Registration ends Wednesday, October 19, and interested participants can sign up online at: https://smoothcomp.com/en/event/7997/.
“Påtgon Jiu-Jitsu gives our future generations more opportunity to compete and gain experience. Being a product of Guam’s Youth Jiu-Jitsu, starting at 11 years old with the privilege to travel for competition, and now a mother of 3 children are the reasons that drove me to start this organization. To give back to our community, I wanted to bring that same experience without having our Jiu-Jitsu practitioners pay thousands of dollars. Docomo Pacific is proud to be a part of this exciting event that will showcase all our island’s next generations’ hard work and training. This event is open to the public. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12.
