The 2008 Budweiser King and Queen of the Diamonds Softball Tournament on Palau

Teams from Saipan and Guam will receive an all expense paid trip to Palau compliments of Budweiser to compete in the King and Queen of the Diamonds tournament. Tom Shimizu, General Manager of Ambros Inc., “Budweiser and Shimbros are proud to sponsor this annual softball tournament in Palau. Every year, the spirit of the game is wonderful, the competition is fun and the teamwork is terrific to watch. We would like to thank all our organizers, volunteers, players and our major sponsor, Airai View and Continental Micronesia, for helping make this year’s tournament a success.

An exciting part of the tournament is the Home Run Derby where each of the teams are allowed to enter 2 contestants to see who could hit the most home runs before getting 5 outs. The winner will receive $200 cash. At the end of the games, Budweiser will host an awards banquet on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Airai View Hotel. For their R & R the next day, November 16th, all 4 teams will be treated to an all day Rock Island Tour. No trip to Palau is complete without a visit to the pristine Rock Islands.

Budweiser strongly supports softball as well as other sports on Guam, Saipan, and Palau even across the globe.  For additional information on Budweiser’s sports programs and sponsorships, visit www.Budweiser.com.
