House Bill 16-169 will provide the department $39,491,105, of which $4,871,914 will come from the Compact-Impact and outside fund resources.
The Commonwealth Health Center will get the biggest chunk of the proposed budget — $24 million from the general fund and $1.4 from Compact-Impact funding.
The secretary’s office will get $5 million, $2 million of which goes to personnel costs and $1.6 to specific non-personnel costs and utilities.
Medicaid reimbursements will get $4.3 million while $2.1 million is allotted for medical supplies.
Untalan said it is still too early to comment on the proposed budget for Public Health, but he is hoping that lawmakers will pass an FY 2009 budget.
