Rangamar said he is happy at the number of kids who showed up for the tryout, but said he wish to see more young people get involved in the event, saying he will conduct another basketball tryout next Saturday at the Ada Gym.
Young people ranging from 11 to 18 years old registered and had a chance to learn the basics of basketball. The tryout was open to boys and girls who wish to participate in the upcoming DYS/DS&R Christmas Basketball Tournament.
“The tryouts will be for both the 14-under and 18-under age groups,” he said.
