Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the suspect attempted to buy items at the Surangel and Sons store on November 5 using a $50 bill.
The employee reported the incident to the police when it was determined that the money was a counterfeit bill.Police responded immediately and confiscated the counterfeit bill and arrested the suspect.Aguon said that they are still conducting a follow up investigation to know where the counterfeit money came from.Aguon said anyone who has information on counterfeit money can call Bureau of Public Safety Crime Stoppers at 4888477.
