Street Smart presentations

JUNIOR and senior high school students of the CNMI  had their share of breath-taking experiences in presentations that were held at three different schools, a media release stated.

The presentations were about road safety, encouraging the audience young and old, to be street smart.

The firefighter-paramedic team conducting the presentation  shared life-saving lessons about alcohol, driving and making smart choices.

The Street Smart program was presented in three sessions at Kagman High School, Saipan Southern High School and Marianas High School.

The Street Smart program is presented by members of Stay Alive From Education, a non-profit organization created by firefighter-paramedics dedicated to reducing teen injuries and fatalities.

They visit high school and military bases across the U.S. to help young people be street smart when it comes to decisions on drinking and driving, underage drinking and illegal drug use.

The dramatic, gripping programs they present are sponsored by Anheuser-Busch InBev, and its local wholesaler Marianas Pacific Distributors Inc.

Street Smart will be presented to over 500 students in public schools on Saipan.
