Members of the 8th House of Delegates and the Senate will convene at 10 a.m. at the Capitol.
The top agenda for the Senate is to tackle confirmations of presidential appointees while the House of Delegates meanwhile will consider revenue generating measures.Last week, Toribiong named his cabinet appointees including appointees of Chief Compact negotiator and Special Prosecutor.House Speaker Noah Idechong said the House meanwhile will look into the Foreign Investment Law.Idechong added that it will revisit the revenue generating bills introduced during the 7th Olbiil Era Kelulau and see if it merits reconsideration.The Senate meanwhile listed in their agenda the minimum wage bill introduced in the 7th Olbiil Era Kelulau.Idechong told reporters that there is a planned meeting with Tmetuchl and Toribiong to come up with national priorities so both houses of Congress will have their sets of priority bills to work on.He said the Senate leadership has shown willingness to work with the House so that there will be no duplication of priorities. The House will also look into the compensation for the congressmen and will ensure that the public will have easy access to any information from the HOD.
