US no longer requires negative Covid-19 tests for international travelers

A NEGATIVE Covid-19 test result before boarding is no longer required for all incoming international travelers to the U.S.

Effective Sunday, June 12, the U.S. changed its Covid-19 travel protocols, and the CNMI is expected to follow suit.

Currently, inbound international travelers are still required to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test prior to departure for Saipan.

However, in the CNMI, on-arrival Covid-19 testing is no longer required, while fifth-day Covid-19 testing is still optional for vaccinated travelers.

All travelers, vaccinated or not, are still required to fill out a health declaration form before entering the Commonwealth.

Unvaccinated individuals are given a registration code for fifth-day Covid-19 testing.

Quarantine is no longer required for vaccinated essential workers.

However, unvaccinated essential workers are required to fill out a quarantine application form prior to entry into the Commonwealth.

As of June 12, 2022, there were no individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19.

But 77 additional individuals were confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 11,482 cases since March 28, 2020.

Two additional cases were identified on June 4, 2022.
