Omechelang, Villavicencio are Budweiser’s January King and Queen of the Lanes

The two-day competition quenched the thirst of those who have been longing for the monthly title or even make it to the top five.

However, in Queen of the Lanes matches, Villavicencio who had tasted the crown at least a number of times, won’t let in as she made a good start in Game 1 besting 22 other with her 218 pinfalls.

She struggled in Game 2 scoring only 149 pinfalls, as Linda Yarobwemal turned it around surpassing her with 214 pinfalls.

Villavicencio still struggled but proved to have invested enough eking out a total of 727 pinfalls to win the monthly title.

Yarobwemal who nearly made it was 11 pinfalls behind to place second.

Villavicencio brought home $65 while Yarobwemal $35.

Ron Cal whose 705 pinfalls put her on third place, brought home $20.

Making it to the top five were Diane Camacho (705 pinfalls) and Diane Chong (675 pinfalls).

In King of the Lanes, Percy Omechelang left everybody way behind as struck a total of 859 pinfalls. He started considerably good in Game 1 and played better and better to an unbeatable 259 pinfalls in Game 4.

Raymond Zapanta who played again in the second day in a bid to grab the lead lagged 26 lower than his first day pinfalls of 793.

Simon Manacop settled for third place although he also started with high pinfalls in Game 1. He played better in Game 4 but his 761 total was not good enough to beat Omechelang.

Omechelang was $100 richer that day; Zapanta, got $50 and Manacop, $30.

Making it to the top five were Richard Leong who brought home $15 and Dannie Robles.
