In a copy of the supplemental report acquired by the Variety, DPS investigator Chris Leon Guerrero said they received a call from Torres at about 1:01 p.m. on Feb. 19, reporting a disturbing the peace and assault incident which occurred at the Quick-Print printing shop in Garapan.
Torres told investigators that at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 19, he was at Quick-Print when he came across Randy Taylor.
Torres said Taylor did not see him within the shop until a bystander called him.
Torres said Taylor then followed him out to the parking lot and confronted him at a distance of about two feet away from his face.
Torres said Taylor threatened him and told him not to show up for the former chief justice’s funeral.
Torres said when he walked away, Taylor followed him and kept on threatening him, telling him that the bill he Torres introduced will destroy his business.
Torres said Taylor was referring to Saipan Local Bill 16-26, or the Unarmed Combat Sport Act.
Torres said Taylor is part owner of the Pure Bred Trench Tech on Saipan.
Torres said that going to the former chief justice’s funeral is his prerogative.
Variety tried but failed to get comments from Taylor.
