Juan K. Igisomar still missing

FAMILY members and the Department of Public Safety are still searching for 50-year-old Juan “John” K. Igisomar who was last seen on Easter Sunday or April 17, 2022.

In a message to Variety, Igisomar’s brother, Department of Public Lands Secretary Sixto Igisomar, said he met with DPS officers on Thursday. “Still no John. DPS is still investigating.”

He added, “Our family members continue to search other remote places, just in case he may have truly wandered off. Otherwise, definitely, it is irregular for John to have not returned home, and to have not been seen on his regular path.”

“We are grateful for all the public support, and we pray someone may have more or better information on his whereabouts,” the DPL secretary said.

“My brother receives disability pension, and we would normally meet prior to the end of the month to discuss disbursements and fund usage — for the month of May, no activity.”

DPS said on April 26, 2022, at about 2:24 p.m., it received a report of a missing person in the village of Chalan Laulau.

“Officers met with a family member of the victim who informed police that they had not seen their uncle [Juan K. Igisomar] for about two weeks…. Family members also mentioned to police that [Juan] Igisomar has a disability,” DPS said.

He was last wearing khaki long pants. He was shirtless, with gray hair and facial hair. He is approximately 5’8” and around 220 lbs.

If you have any information about his whereabouts, call 911.
