Camacho, R-Saipan, did not even answer this reporter’s question. Instead, he laughed and smiled.
His brother, former Rep. Clyde K. Norita, is Guerrero’s campaign manager.
Guerrero, the chairman of the Retirement Fund and a Democrat, is running as an Independent candidate.
He has yet to announce his running mate but is reportedly considering Camacho.
Camacho used to be a police officer and instructor at Northern Marianas College before earning his law degree from the Gonzaga University School of Law.
He also holds a master’s degree in public administration from Seattle University.
Camacho is a freshman lawmaker.
Besides Guerrero and incumbent Gov. Benigno R. Fitial, the other gubernatorial candidates are former Gov. Juan N. Babauta and Rep. Heinz S. Hofschneider.
The Republican Party will hold a primary between Babauta and Hofschneider.
Former Sen. Ramon S. Guerrero, a former Democrat turned Republican turned Reform Party member, has said that he will run for governor as an Independent candidate, but has yet to announce who his running mate is.
