These senior positions report directly to the chief executive officer.
“It has taken us some time to identify the right people with the right experience to help guide us through our infancy. The board is confident that the combined experience of the management team will see the establishment of a corporation that the people of the FSM can be proud of,” said the corporation’s chairman, William Hawley.
Lawrence is the senior vice president and chief financial officer of the FSM Telecommunications Corp.
He holds a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
He has had an expansive career, working in various capacities including as an auditor with Touche Ross & Company, and as the chief of accounting in the FSM national government.
Ramon is a seasoned civil servant having spent over 16 years with the national government.
He was the assistant secretary responsible for energy at the Department of Resources and Development, the highest permanent position in government.
Ramon has a degree in international business management and an associate degree in computer science from Brigham Young University of Hawaii.
The announcement of the corporation’s management team coincided with the release of a request for proposal from consultancy firms to assist in the development of PetroCorps’ vision and mission statements.
“The interest in PetroCorp is high but expectations are even higher. We need to have a clear vision of where we want to be in time, and have this vision supported by a strong mission to guide us there,” said Hawley.
