Covenant Rep. Edwin Aldan’s House Local Bill 16-25 became Tinian Local Law 16-7 after Gov. Benigno R. Fitial signed it on March 10.
The new law allocates $12,000 for the monthly subsistence allowance of patients from Tinian undergoing treatment for dialysis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, post-cervical and vascular accidents.
The Department of Finance is mandated to disburse $2,000 every month to Tinian for equal distribution to patients covered under the new law.
The remaining $30,000 is earmarked for the operation of the Tinian legislative delegation.
The Senate president, with the concurrence of the members of the delegation, is the designated expenditure authority of funds allocated under T.L.L. 16-7 for the Tinian senators’ use.
