On March 23, Purugganan said they will inaugurate their newly expanded and renovated school library.
The library now has more books, computers and air-conditioning units, she added.
Previously, the library could not accommodate many students.
“Now we are happy that many of our students can use the library,” Purugganan said.
The expansion project began in January.
The other projects were the repair and renovation of the bilingual Carolinian classroom, the computer room, and the pavement of the walkway to the library, Purugganan said.
The projects were funded by the Dr. Tan Siu Lin Foundation and education tax credit donations, she added.
The foundation provided a total of $8,000 while $5,000 came from the education tax credit donations, Purugganan said.
Under her leadership, the school has drafted a plan that calls for the improvement of school buildings and other facilities.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the renovated library, the school will recognize the assistance of the foundation and the Public School System, Purugganan said.
She said school principals on Saipan, Board of Education members and PSS officials have been invited to the event.
