Toribiong commends PPR

Toribiong mentioned this during the tourism forum last Friday.

He said out of 225 employees, 204 are Palauan employees.Toribiong said in the management there are nine Palauans a while there are 15 chefs that are Palauan at the hotel. “PPR should be a model for investors,” Toribiong said.He said that he will issue a certificate to formally recognize PPR and to laud the company for maximizing employment of Palauans.The public forum on tourism gave an overview about the tourism industry in Palau, current issues and future outlook.The public forum is a joint collaboration by the Office of the President, Palau Visitors Authority, Belau Tourism Association and Palau Chamber of Commerce.The forum also discussed the proposed measure which will create a single visa fee that will consolidate entry permit fees, environmental protection fees, and taxes levied on arrival and departure from the republic.
