Temeteet was charged on Monday for stealing other people’s check and negotiating it for a gasoline worth $10.A police affidavit submitted in court stated that the owner of the check reported a larceny incident at the police on September 19, 2008.The owner reported that someone stole her checkbook and cell phone.On that same day, police also received a call from a cashier of the Mobil station.The cashier reported that she received a stolen check from the defendant.The police affidavit stated that the defendant tried to negotiate the check in the name of the owner for a gas worth $10.The cashier refused to accept the check knowing that it did not belong to the defendant.The affidavit stated that the defendant left the gas station without paying the gas.
